inadequate…

Why is it that I start to feel like my writing isn’t as good as someone else? I began reading another blog and almost instantly got a feeling of inadequacy. Her blog is so nice. She writes so eloquently. Why can’t mine be like that? I wish I wrote the way she did.

But I don’t. And I probably never will. I do enjoy reading blogs and stories that are eloquent and graceful in their writing, but my style just isn’t the same. I’m more off the cuff in my writing…whatever comes to mind as my fingers flow across the keyboard. Used to be as my pen flowed across the pages of my journal…well…still is sometimes.

Always wanting to be “as good as” someone else. Lifelong problem.

I’M JUST ME! That’s all I can be. That’s all God wants me to be. He didn’t create me to be just like that other person. If that was the case I would be her and she would be someone else…I suppose.

So…with that in mind…I will just continue to write in the way I write – and enjoy it!

ok…that is all!

any moment…

At any moment Satan can strike. He can come at you totally unexpectedly with shocking force. It is a rather unnerving feeling. There’s confusion, fear, and even sadness know that he is doing his dirty work through someone you love with all your heart.

“Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.”
2 Corinthians 4:4

Not only has Satan blinded the minds of those who don’t believe, he is very crafty and good at getting those who do believe to be easily persuaded to believe things that are totally untrue! It’s a sad thing. But…we can overcome him!

Hebrews 14-15(The Message) Since the children are made of flesh and blood, it’s logical that the Savior took on flesh and blood in order to rescue them by his death. By embracing death, taking it into himself, he destroyed the Devil’s hold on death and freed all who cower through life, scared to death of death.

16-18 It’s obvious, of course, that he didn’t go to all this trouble for angels. It was for people like us, children of Abraham. That’s why he had to enter into every detail of human life. Then, when he came before God as high priest to get rid of the people’s sins, he would have already experienced it all himself—all the pain, all the testing—and would be able to help where help was needed.

Because of God’s grace we can have that very savior living within us! We can overcome Satan by our commitment to our Lord Jesus Christ. He is here with us…even the bad times when Satan is doing his best to attack us. But by calling on His name and asking for His help, we can defeat Satan!

“The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.”
Romans 16:20

Heavenly Father, I pray that today and everyday you will protect me from the attacks of Satan. May he be crushed under my feet. Defeated. In the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
